Over the last several days I’ve been challenged to head into the month of November with a spirit of gratitude. I love the Thanksgiving Holiday and the reminder of all we have to be thankful for. I hope to share this love with all of you over the next 30 days and in the process also challenge you to find the big and little things to be thankful for in the midst of our sometimes stressful and challenging daily lives. My goal is to daily share a word of encouragement sprinkled in with a few special give aways including several new and old favorite reads.
And on that note, let me start by sharing how grateful I am for this platform. For years, I tried to blog on and off and failed to do so consistently. Last January, after talking with my husband about the dream and desire to write (that had been swirling around in my head since my early reader Laura Ingalls Wilder days) he encouraged my to restart my blog and plan to attend the She Speaks Conference – and with that we were off at the races. I worked on revisiting my existing blog site, changing it’s name, linking to social media sites, branding, etc. I also registered for She Speaks and even pitched a book proposal! And while I didn’t get an offer on my pitch I have continued to write. It’s not always been easy and I haven’t always felt inspired – but I know that God is doing something in me and I am grateful if I can even encourage one momma out there. My writing isn’t a big thing, but God doesn’t need me to do big things to change everything. I am grateful for my blog and the small platform it provides me to share what God is doing in and through me. I am grateful for the opportunity to encourage other moms out there, and I am grateful for those of you who read, and who share, and who respond to my posts.
